Stainless Steel Crowns (for primary teeth)
Stainless steel dental crowns are one of the premiere treatments for primary teeth with extensive decay or damage. The extent of decay will be determined by Dr. Wilkerson from both the clinical exam in the mouth and the dental X-rays.
By using a stainless steel crown, the tooth can be saved and doesn’t require removal. Primary teeth are important because they are used for function and speech, as well as, holding space for the permanent tooth. Many times the primary back teeth that require this type of treatment will not be naturally lost until the ages of 11 or 12, so it becomes important to treat these teeth.

All four of my children are patients. We have always had wonderful experiences, even when my children were very young and not big fans of getting their teeth cleaned. My two year old son had to have a filling yesterday. Dr. Wilkerson and her staff worked quickly and efficiently, even though he wasn't the most cooperative patient. As long as their doors are open, my children will never have another dentist.
